The North Andover Journal
"The North Andover Journal" is a news show local to my hometown in Massachusetts I had the privilege of producing and hosting from May to August 2025. During my time on this show I coordinated schedules with interviewees, filmed interviews and B-roll, edited pieces into digestible "Journal Updates", and scheduled simultaneous premieres across our various distribution channels. I later compiled these updates into a full-length Summer Recap episode, which I wrote copy for and hosted.
North Andover's Memorial to the Witches of Andover Village
In 1692, 45 residents of Andover Village were jailed following accusations of witchcraft - more than in any other community during the Salem Witch Trials. Since then, urban legends have abounded, and the same habits of ostracization and discrimination remain with us. This year, a class of North Andover Middle School students took it upon themselves to honor the accused and chart a better path forward.
Field Renovations at North Andover High School
After the recent approval of several major renovations to the baseball field, tennis court, and upper track, construction is well underway. We checked in with Athletic Director Steve Nugent to tell us about the project.
Food Insecurity in North Andover
The rate of food insecurity in North Andover has risen dramatically in the past several years to shocking numbers. Fortunately, a host of nonprofits and volunteers are banding together across the Merrimack Valley to feed the community as an organized and cooperative coalition. We interviewed Jen Cordes at the Peoples Food Pantry to spotlight the hard work of her team, let North Andover know how we can contribute, and spread the word to members of our community who could benefit from a little bit of help.

North Andover Farmer's Market In a New Space
The Farmer’s Market is a staple of summer in North Andover, and for the first time in its 8-year history, it’s in a new location. We headed down Senior Center Way and behind Town Hall to see what the event organizers and vendors think of this new, larger space.
Organization Spotlight - Communities Together
For years, Communities Together has been providing and supporting community programs across the Merrimack Valley, such as Manos Felices, a free afterschool and summer program. Last weekend, Madelyn Sang showed us how the Savers FUNDrive turns the gently-used goods of North Andover residents into funding for Manos Felices to provide arts and crafts, books, and free lunch for kids!
Annual Check-In: The North Andover Farmer's Market
The North Andover Farmer's market continues to host a wide variety of local vendors, and has been officially recognized as a nonprofit! We did our yearly check-in to see how the market supports both local businesses and the community at large in times of need.
Savannah Strong
The story of Savannah “Strong” Solivan, a young local athlete who received tremendous support from the North Andover community amid her fight against cancer and adjustment to life with a prosthetic leg, including from a North Andover Public Schools alum who went through something remarkably similar 11 years before.
